Protum AI Assurance: Independent AI Testing for Financial Services
Protum AI Assurance is an independent testing service for banks and financial institutions. It combines benchmarking, red-teaming, user simulation, and human evaluation into one Assurance Report that feeds a Trust Record, mapped to MAS, IMDA's ARC Framework, and AI Verify. The team running it did not build the system it tests.
Four testing disciplines in one Assurance Report
Benchmarking (capability and accuracy against standard and custom sets), red-teaming (adversarial probing, jailbreaks, and exploits), user simulation (realistic usage and edge cases), and human evaluation (domain-expert judgment review). Every Assurance Report combines all four into the evidence that feeds a Trust Record.
Plugs into your AI SDLC
Every AI use case moves through five stages: intake and risk tiering (CoE-led), build and configure (CoE-led), independent testing (Protum-led), deployment gate (joint), and monitor and recertify (joint). Independent testing plugs into your AI SDLC. It doesn't replace your CoE.
Two ways to engage
Path A: AI Assurance as testing as a service for organisations with an existing AI Testing CoE. Protum AI Assurance runs the independent testing your CoE needs but doesn't have to build in-house. Path B: AI Testing CoE enablement in three phases, co-design (4 to 6 weeks), shadow pilot (2 to 3 live use cases), and transition to in-house operation with Protum retained for novel cases and periodic independent audit.
Built for banking failure modes
Hallucination in customer-facing outputs, bias and fairness in credit and conduct use cases, prompt injection and data leakage, agentic action-boundary testing, and model drift in production.
