The 2 August reporting clock is an evidence problem
On 2 August 2026 the EU AI Act's serious-incident reporting duty starts to bite, and the deadline is measured from the moment you became aware, not the moment you were ready. Article 73 can give you as few as two days to report, and the clock starts at awareness rather than at readiness. For a CISO or CRO at a Singapore financial institution with EU exposure, meeting that deadline is a detection, escalation, and evidence problem long before it is a legal-drafting one.
